 Form a New Chapter

Interested in Forming a New nacm Chapter?

In order to receive a charter as a new chapter, an application form signed by ten members or prospective members of NACM music be forwarded to the NACM office. The application form must be approved by both the Executive Board and by the Council of Chapters of NACM for the charter to be granted.

The suggested minimum number of officers for a new chapter are three: President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Many chapters have additional officers, examples of which are chairs of Membership, Festivals, Workshops, Meeting Programs, Chaplain, Hospitality, Scholarships, as well as Newsletter Editor.

Chapters are generally formed with clear geographic boundaries. Chapters may encompass an entire state or region (Northern Virginia), several counties/parishes (Riverside/San Bernardino), a single county/parish (Orange County) or a portion of a large city (San Fernando Valley)

NACM is particularly interested in helping to form chapters where there currently is a group of church musicians who are meeting together informally and who might benefit from being part of our nationwide network
